Mohr Media conducts original research on global topics involving economics, education, trade and technology. The goal is to provide a sound foundation of knowledge from which solutions can come.
Mohr Media intends to advance the public policy debate above a level of discord and confusion. The overriding goal is to make complex information accessible to everyone who seeks it. This project was born out of the belief that good story telling and the pursuit of truth are worthwhile activities. The more informed people are about problems, the more apt and able they are to solve them.
Who?
Mohr Media is a project run by Patricia Mohr, a writer dedicated to the principles of journalism and the pursuit of knowledge. Patricia worked as a Capitol Hill reporter. She has a Masters degree in international commerce and policy from George Mason University.
Why?
Good information breeds a strong civil society. A well-informed populace holds elected leaders accountable. People are hungry for knowledge, and a digital society affords ample opportunity for people to share information. The concern is that it also provides opportunity for people to spread propaganda and misinformation. This project intends to return to the roots of journalism--the pursuit of truth.
What?
Among other things, Mohr Media produces web-based projects, such as those listed on the right column, which cover a themes related to globalization and issues impacting modern society.
